The Window Seat
The window seat is my favorite seat on an airplane and in this post, I will share 23 photos to make you wish you were on an airplane right now! In the window seat, you have the best views, hands down, and on top of traveling to your destination, you get to see the world in between.
Lately, I’ve been looking through old travel photos, printing some, working on photo albums with others. I realized how many thousands of photos I’ve taken out of airplane windows and how I rarely ever share them. So, without further adieu, here are 23 of my favorite shots taken from the window seat!

Western Window Seat Views
Yup, I’m that person on a flight who whips out a 70-200mm lens and takes hundreds of photos out of her window. I’m sure I’ve earned some strange looks in the past, but look at these results! Isn’t the Earth incredible? I can’t imagine not ever being in the window seat with my face glued to the window. Do I sound like I miss flying or what? (I really, really do!)

Flying to the west coast has been my primary travel function for a while now so I’ve gathered quite a collection of beautiful landscapes. Everything from mountains to valleys with rivers snaking through. Vast empty plains to those weird circle crops. Every view is so unique and shows just how beautiful this planet truly is.

City Window Seat Views
While I love being in nature, I’m a city girl at heart. Views of towering buildings with a mix of architecture styles, the hustle, and bustle. I love it. It’s even more fun to see from the sky!

Southern Window Seat Views
I don’t fly to the south very often. It’s mostly to New Orleans but on a recent work trip to Florida, I saw some incredible views.

In The Clouds
Ever sit in a plane and think how crazy it is to be floating through the clouds? Me, too. All the time. Here are some beautiful cloud shots to help keep your head in the clouds.

Beautiful Patterns
One of my favorite things to do outside of taking pretty landscapes is finding the really awesome patterns that happen. This is usually seen when flying over cities or farmland. I especially love the juxtaposition of farmland next to vast open nothingness and seeing interesting city block planning. Here are a few favorites.
