A Look Inside Urban Planting Cleveland’s New Tremont Shop

Urban Planting Cleveland – A New Light-Filled Tropical Plant Shop in Tremont

Today we’re taking a look inside Urban Planting Cleveland’s new shop in Tremont, a Cleveland, Ohio Neighborhood. This will be the shop’s second location, and while you’ll get the same awesome service, knowledge, and plants as the original location, this larger shop opens up so many new opportunities.

GRAND OPENING

Plants, treats, and fun! Support local and show them some love.

Shop owner Elio Calabrese opened the original Urban Planting Cleveland shop back in 2017 in the small Edgewater Neighborhood filling in the need for a plant shop in the area. His passion and knowledge for plants helped build up this small shop and loyal customer base. This is one of the things that has always drawn me to this plant shop- always friendly, always knowledgable, and they have some of the best tropical plant selection out there.

After the past few challenging years we all experienced, it’s exciting to see a small business survive and grow. Sustainable Community Associates, who were building the new apartment The Lincoln, reached out to the team at Urban Planting Cleveland to propose opening a second shop in their new building. From then began a 1.5+ year journey in opening their second location in Tremont and finally opening this weekend.

The New Shop

I stopped in to visit the shop before its grand opening to get some photos and talk with the team about the new location. After chatting with shop manager Monical, it was evident how much these shops mean to the Urban Planting Cleveland team. While the new location is larger and has an opportunity to do more, you should still expect the same great services, tropical plant selection, and knowledge you get at the Edgewater location. The team has big plans for the Tremont location with its 10-foot windows, tall ceilings, and large browsable floorspace. You can expect to see larger plants, custom-designed plant pieces, workshops, and much more once they get settled in.

If you like this post, then you’ll want to check out my Tremont Neighborhood Guide sharing more great things to do in this historic Cleveland Neighborhood.

Plants Are For Everyone

The major #plantlove the team at Urban Planting Cleveland has is obvious in all they do. One thing that really stood out from my conversation is that the shop was founded on the idea that “plants are for everyone”. While some think of plants as a luxury, the team does their best to make them attainable for all. I love that.

Be sure to check out Urban Planting Cleveland’s Tremont (or Edgewater) location for awesome tropical plants when in Cleveland, Ohio. Keep scrolling for shop details and follow them on social to keep up with special events, workshops, and more. Special thanks to the Urban Planting Crew for having me in to preview the new shop!

🔶One Day in Albuquerque Inspirations We squeez 🔶One Day in Albuquerque Inspirations

We squeezed a lot into one day, here are some highlights you’ll want to add to your future itinerary!

🥞 Breakfast: Central Grill @centralgrillabq
This breakfast hot spot has some of the best pancakes I’ve had. Fluffy and delicious.

🌮 Lunch: Pueblo Indian Kitchen @pueblokitchen
Try out an Indian taco to get a taste of fry bread and chiles (something you may be eating a lot of on your trip. Get it ‘Christmas’ style, a mix of red and green Chile.

🍜 Dinner: Ten3 @ten3tram
Eat your final meal of the day 10,300 feet above Albuquerque. There is a casual dining spot and a formal dining spot (requires fancier clothing). Food was good and the views? Epic.

🚡Do: Sandia Peak Tramway @sandia_peak_tramway
Get breathtaking views of Albuquerque from above as you enjoy a 15-minute ride up 10,000+ feet up the Sandia Mountains. The sunset was incredible.

🗺️ Explore: Old Town @abqoldtown
Enjoy the southwestern aesthetic as you browse many local and awesome shops. Find your perfect souvenir and enjoy the views.

🔵 Shop: Breaking Bad Store @breakingbadstoreabq
If you’re a fan of the show this is such a cool spot to visit! Don’t forget to head to the back where there’s a whole museum dedicated to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul memorabilia.

✏️ Learn: Pueblo Indian Cultural Center @indianpueblo
Learn all about the people of the land and how they lived, created, and beyond.

🛏️ Stay: Zazz Hotel @hotelzazz
This adorable renovated motel has the quirkiest style. We loved getting popsicles from the hydration room, our adorable room, and the hotels style. The soaps in the bathroom smelled SO good and were locally sourced. Love that.

🍹Drinks: Lounge, a speakeasy inside Hotel Zazz
We checked out this fun space after a long day out and about. I had a mocktail that I’m still thinking about today called a Pink Flamingo. So. Good.

Hope that list helps inspire your future trip to Albuquerque! I hope we can get back to explore more soon. New Mexico is a gem.

🥾🍁 Fall Hike in Cleveland with Epic Views W 🥾🍁 Fall Hike in Cleveland with Epic Views

With the official start of fall this weekend and pops of fall color already popping up, it’s time to talk fall hikes 🍁🥾

Last Fall I checked out the newly opened Eatern Ledge Trail within the Euclid Creek Reservation, part of the @clevemetroparks

This trail winds you through a fall forest along a flowing creek and takes you to a ledge overview 130 feet above Euclid Creek.

I found it to be a easy to moderate trail due to the incline. The views were epic, especially when the sun is out creating intense shadows.

Tag a friend or send this to someone you’d love to hike this trail with!
