Citizen Pie, also known as Pizza for the People, is a pizza joint in Cleveland that cooks your pizza in a wood-fired oven for 90 seconds at 900 degrees. Talk about instant gratification. But quick doesn’t mean fast-food quality, these pies are quite delicious.
Our favorite pies are Cacio e Pepe & Spicy Pepperoni. The crust is perfectly crisped while giving a nice, doughy bite. Perfect amount of toppings.

I’m a huge fan of the decor at the Ohio City location. From the tiles on the floor to the aged tiles on the wall, the details work so well together. The walls are covered in framed art of various artists and musicians and other notables.
After your pizza, be sure to try their homemade soft serve ice cream. The vanilla is one of my favorites-the flavor and texture is so unique and I always want more. This has easily become one of my favorite pizza joints in Cleveland and I highly recommend checking out one of their two locations in Ohio City on the west side of Cleveland and Collinwood on the east.
Know before you go:
Decor Lighter, incredibly designed with cool art on the wall.
Photo Ops The pizza! Take a quick snap before digging in. The b&w checkered paper adds a fun contrast. Honestly, just about everything inside is photogenic.
Parking We often park directly in front of the restaurant. You should be able to find parking around the block on a side street, too.
Cost Pies run about 12-17 depending on toppings. Check out their website’s dough meter to see if they are out of dough before you go.
